Caregivers for Compromise was founded by Mary Daniel who gained national attention after taking a job as a dishwasher at Rosecastle Memory Care Center so that she could be with her husband Steve after being separated for 114 days during the lockdown due to COVID-19. When the story went viral she was contacted by caregivers from all over the United States who were separated from their loved ones. The national Caregivers for Compromise Facebook group was started and after realizing that every state was enforcing different visitation rules, a C4C Facebook group was started for every state.
